You did a good job on this. The play menu wasn't extraordinary looking, but the introduction after that looks nice. The gameplay is very hard at parts, so hard that at times the walkthrough is absolutely essential. The pass-code to open the door was very hard to find, and I don't think it could be found easily at all. It was also hard to guess to click the pipe and the plant's pot. I would suggest making these things more apparent in later games. The art was good, and there isn't much to complain about there. The music is good, but it does get a little repetitive. The "Air" meter was a good idea, and I'm glad you didn't do a game-over sequence when it goes down. I liked this overall. It seems reminiscent of Afro-Ninja's age-old escape series. Good work, and good luck on future games.

I don't really think you made this game with serious intentions, just because of its shortness and lack of depth, but this game really doesn't offer much at all. The introduction makes the game look nice, but it is more detailed than the game itself. After you get out of the introduction, the game becomes a constant, random race of "Let's keep a close eye on Magikarp to keep him happy!" Like hormone-filled teenagers, Magikarp suffers from spontaneous depression, seeing as he becomes sad very easily. The Punish Button serves no real purpose other than making Magikarp angry. Even when you do fill up his stats, he seems to be either sad or filled with contempt. One thing I would like to compliment you on, however, is the art. The simple shading is enjoyable and adds a nice touch to the game. You had an interesting idea here, but I doubt it will hold many people's attention for more than a couple minutes at most. Good luck on your next works! I hope your future projects turn out well.

Most of the things I make are for the purpose of a quick laugh, hence my other game Atelerix Albiventris.
And the mood is randomly generated, and there are 9 different moods he can be in at ne given time, But for some reason the game seems to love always making him sad. Anyway, the mood has absolutely no indication on how you are treating the Magikarp. I alspo love how you desbribed it always being sad XD

And thanks for your words on the art, that is the one thing in this game I actually put a fair bit of effort in to, im glad to see it appealed to some people.

Thanks for the review, kind sir :D

This game is quite enjoyable. When I first started playing, it was easy to get immersed within the world presented in it. The characters seemed interesting and the art style was nice. I like the characters that you could talk to for the sake of talking to who always had new things to say. The concept of the game itself was rather interesting, seeing as the player had to balance out his social and academic lives. The music was nice enough for me and never seemed to get too repetitive, but I would recommend making multiple tracks for future games. After a while, the text does get a bit repetitive. The girl who gives you +3 social points is nothing but a tool to advance your social life, and the text for her never transcends beyond awkward conversation. The random events inevitably repeat after a while, and there was one case when the event gave me two options, and when I picked one, it gave me the negative response to an entirely different question. The jobs and clubs are good ideas, but it would be more interesting if they were permanent and didn't go away the next day. All in all, most of my suggestions for improvement spawn from the fact that I wish this game were longer. If you had more than 100 days to befriend characters, improve skills, and get money, that would be great. For a short game, this worked out pretty well, I suppose. I would just recommend a longer game with the possibility of character companionship in future simulators, if you ever make any more (which I hope you do!). Good job, dude! It was a fun hour spent playing this.

Thanks for the elaborate feedback! My biggest regret actually is not giving the girl who you have awkward conversations with more dialog haha. I'll definitely keep in mind your comments if I work on a sequel.

Wow

Lots of entertainment value to be found here.
The Phoenix Wright part brought back memories of when I was twelve, so I started playing the first game in the series last night. :DDD

Nice! It's a terrific series!

Pretty good.

I'd like to see more from you, someday. Did you use some backgrounds from Kana Little Sister? If so, that explains why I feel like I'm going to cry every time I look at the background, ha-ha. Good job on this.

Wow.

Haven't played this game since I was 10/11. :D Thanks for the great memories!

Great game

It's pretty good.
Has a great length, and makes you want to keep playing to unlock all the weapons.
However, I don't think it lived up to the scary name and intro. It didn't seem to scary. Graphics are great. Great shooting system.

Prety good.

Mildly addictive. I might play it more after this.
It's little hard, though.

Extremley Orignal

I played this in to nights and beat in in 2000 something seconds.
Very original. Good job!

Wow

Times are simply going by too fast, ya know?
I remember playing this for the first time when it came out in '06.
Great game, really original. I would like to see more games like this.

I'm AJ. I became incredibly interested in Newgrounds and Flash when I was 11. Unfortunately, I never developed the skills to make games or movies, so, as for now, I mostly review things on here. Perhaps some day I will make an attempt to learn Flash.
